Nov. 15 (UPI) — A Texas city is warning locals to be alert after a venomous cottonmouth snake was found seeking warmth in a resident’s sprinkler system.
The City of Fulshear said a resident snapped photos of the potentially deadly snake coiled up for warmth right next to the knob the Cross Creek Ranch resident had been planning to turn to winterize their sprinkler system.

The city said the snake was removed and relocated by a reptile expert.
