Chinese police are using facial recognition glasses to track citizens, The Wall Street Journal reports. Ahead of the anticipated migration of Chinese travelers during the Lunar New Year, the smart glasses are being used to surveil people at railway stations and airports. The sophisticated technology has already helped authorities capture 26 individuals who were traveling using fake identity documents, according to WSJ. China is currently developing a system that will be able to recognize any of its 1.3 billion citizens in three seconds, according to Business Insider.
